The upper is constructed from a virtually seamless leather and Nubuck upper with no low side seams, which offers a long lifespan if properly cared for.

The high- traction Vibram outsole with a semi-auto crampon bracket or heel bale, offers superior grip and the lugs are designed to self-clean, ensuring that traction is not compromised in muddy conditions.

If the weather deteriorates the Pelmo is well equipped for dealing with it, thanks to the inclusion of a waterproof and breathable Sympatex lining.

The boot is completed by a firm flex and very comfortable high cuff which offers support when trekking over uneven terrain or carrying a heavy pack; and a 2mm Vibram rubber rand which protects the upper from scuffs and scratches that can sometimes be caused by sharp rocks

For winter use the Fango is suitable for use with strap on crampons.
